• 110g sugar

  • 120g soft butter

  • 2 medium sized eggs

  • 250g wheat flour

  • 1 sachet vanilla pudding powder

  • 3 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 100ml milk


  1. Preheat oven to 160°C / 320°F and cover 2 trays with baking paper.

  2. Beat the butter with the sugar until foamy, add the eggs one after the other.

  3. Mix flour with pudding powder, baking powder and salt.

  4. Alternately stir in the milk and the flour mixture.

  5. Pour the dough into a piping bag without spout and spurt the dough onto the two trays - either about 20 small ones or 10 large ones. Leave enough space between them.

  6. Bake the Americans for approx. 12 minutes (for small ones) or 15-20 minutes (for larger ones) until golden.

  7. Leave to cool and decorate the smooth side as desired.
